BRE STERLING

Bre Sterling, a creative director, choreographer, and dancer was born and raised in Washington, DC. She is an alum of Kennesaw State University, with a major in Dance (Modern Concentration). Bre’s formal training started at Black Experience Dance Troupe (B.E.D.T), where she studied west african, modern (Graham and Horton technique), liturgical, tap and ballet. As she grew older, she trained with Footsteps Dance Academy learning jazz, lyrical, and theater. She then moved to Georgia and trained with The Royal Dance Academy under Sarah Haslock-Johnson and Jay Johnson, where she studied multiple dance disciplines including Hip Hop, modern (Horton technique) and the international ballet curriculum of the Royal Academy of Dance. Bre has also had the opportunity to perform in works by Madia Cooper-Ashirifi, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, Jolie Long, James Graham, and Sean Nguyen-Hilton. Bre started working summer programs, but her content creation blending hip-hop and contemporary, put her in high demand. Her choreography has earned a ton of awards and recognition, including outstanding choreographer awards and numerous double platinum awards. With Bre having the opportunity to teach at different dance studios in Metro-Atlanta, she is more than honored to share her knowledge with those around the world.

 

BAILEY JO HARBAUGH

Bailey Jo Harbaugh works as an Atlanta-based performing artist, movement practitioner, and choreographic assistant. 

She graduated as Outstanding Senior from the Department of Dance at Kennesaw State University with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2019. Here she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, received multiple dance merit scholarships, and spent 8 consecutive semesters with the KSU Dance Company performing original roles in faculty and undergraduate works by McCree O’Kelley, Daniel Gwirtzman, Ivan Pulinkala, James Graham, and many others.

Bailey Jo’s professional career began in 2019 with an apprenticeship at contemporary company Staibdance, under the direction of George Staib and managed by Sarah Hillmer. In 2020, she was promoted to a full-time member where she currently rehearses and performs the company’s repertoire. Since then, she has completed 3 consecutive seasons with Tomer Zvulun as a dancer for the Atlanta Opera, and continues to be onboarded for upcoming work.

Bailey Jo performs in the dance ensemble with musical theater company, the Atlanta Lyric Theatre, under direction of Mary Nye Bennett. She also guests with contemporary dance collective, Fly on a Wall, where she engages intimately with its founders and members; Sean Nguyen-Hilton, Nicole Johnson, Nathan Griswold, Jimmy Joyner, and Nicholas Goodly. Other professional involvements include ImmerseATL and the Mediums Collective.She has participated in movement workshops with Batsheva Dance Company, Ate9 Dance Company, and New Dialect. Her ventures have allowed her to work professionally with Andrea Knowlton, Ido Gidron, Kelvin Yu, Banning Bouldin, Navarra Novy-Williams, John McFall, Ricardo Aponte, Amir Levy, and Sonia Olla.
